Three Sisters Garden Planting Events​

In partnership with Gun Lake Tribe (GLT), a Three Sisters Garden will be planted in Bronson Park over the course of three dates. 

 

The public is welcome to attend. Experience and learn the traditions of this indigenous agricultural practice and the importance of companion planting.

Saturday, May 23, 11 am - The first in the series of plantings is Mdamenek (corn) by GLT Youth.

​

Saturday, May 30, 11 am - The second in the series of plantings is Kosman (squash).

​

Later in June/early July date TBA - The third in the series of plantings is Kotthesek (beans). The corn has to be tall enough for the pole beans to climb.
