LATE SUMMER

Portage End of Season Plant Pull

TBD

Flower beds and topiaries have to be pulled in Portage (whatever is left to do after the adopters pull their beds on the weekend). Bring gloves and a shovel, if you have them. If you'd like to take plants home, bring a container/bag. Wear your gardening clothes and boots. Come at 9:00 or whenever you can. Park at the Portage District Library or Portage City Hall.

On Saturday, October 3, we will pull the trailhead bed annuals, weed, and do other maintenance the bed needs.

TBD

On Tuesday, September 29 through Thursday, October 1, we will pull all of the flower beds in Bronson Park and City Hall, empty the two peacocks, and empty and wash the containers and flower tree pots. Wear your gardening clothes and boots, and prepare to get dirty. If you have these, bring gloves, a shovel, and a garden rake. If you'd like to take plants home, bring containers or bags to carry them. We will also be washing the empty pots and containers, most likely on October 1. For washing of the pots, wearing rain boots and a rain poncho is recommended. Come at 9:00 or whenever you can in the morning. You'll be given a parking pass that is valid at a metered spot surrounding Bronson Park.

As a thank you, bring pots/bags/containers to take flowers home. There are plenty of plants in the pots and in the beds that would make beautiful additions to your collection and would make great fall arrangements!
