KIB Anniversary Party at Brewery Outré
May 24, 5:00-8:00 pm
We're celebrating our anniversary with Brewery Outré in downtown Kalamazoo. It's also our final planting day so we all deserve a party! Brewery Outré will have a beer brewed especially for KIB all month - a cherry Saison called Queen of the Cherry Flowers. There will be cake, lots of friends, and maybe a few surprises. Celebrate with us at this great local brewery which will donate a portion of this beer's sales! Free
Garden Tea Party at Crane Park
June 15, 1:00-3:00 pm (rain date June 16)
This special ticketed event will feature 3 courses and herbal teas. We'll be under large canopies. Presentation by Anthony Tran from Shades of Lavender. Music by the Burdick-Thorne String Quartet from the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra. $40 per person. Invitations will be mailed soon.

Wreath Making at 468 Wine

Get your friends together and join us at 468 Urban Winery to make a seasonal grapevine wreath using items of your choosing. This is a 21 & and up special event with wine available for purchase. There are only 30 spots available! Registration includes all supplies. $20.00
Birds and Blooms at Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery
February 17, 12:00-4:00 pm
We've partnered with the Audubon Society of Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Area Wild Ones, and Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery to bring you fun activities focused on birds and blooms on this Great Backyard Bird Count Day. Come on your own or bring friends and family. Be sure to dress for the weather for the bird walk. Free
From Celery City to the Bedding Plant Capital at Portage Zhang Senior Center
February 20, 2:00-4:00 pm
Join us for a presentation that walks through the area's celery history and the transition to bedding plants and the creation of Kalamazoo in Bloom. After the talk, participants will be able to plant and take home a succulent. $10 for Members/$15 for Non-Members of Portage Zhang Senior Center. Registration is required.
