In the spring of each year, sign up to adopt a flower bed in either downtown Kalamazoo or Portage. Tend to your bed once a week throughout the summer (end of May through end of September). Responsibilities include weeding, deadheading and removing litter. Going on vacation for a week? No problem, let the gardener know and they'll care for it until you return. All bed adopters will receive a Kalamazoo in Bloom shirt to identify you as a volunteer while working in your bed.
